NHVR Banner

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic and government response is impacting almost every part of our society.

While the NHVR is continuing to maintain full service levels we understand the inevitable impacts on NHVAS participants and auditors. Things like not being able to conduct audits or submit applications as scheduled will clearly affect the way that we administer the NHVAS.

If you are experiencing issues please contact the NHVR Accreditation Unit and inform us of the circumstances, as soon as possible. We will be providing advice on a case-by-case basis to assist both auditors and operators to continue participating in the scheme and to make changes to approved scheduled audits.

Most importantly, operators are advised to contact the NHVR before their accreditation expires so accreditations can be extended appropriately.

We are currently reviewing options for audits to be conducted in a different format and will keep you informed of any changes as they occur.

Please do not hesitate to get in contact with us if you have any questions or concerns.

CORONAVIRUS - COVID19 … a message from the NHVR CEO

The spread of COVID19 or coronavirus has led to uncertainty on many fronts for the heavy vehicle industry.

Our primary concern is the well-being of staff and drivers, as well as the significant economic and operational burden, which is likely to remain for some time.

At the time of writing the NHVR are maintaining our full service levels.

Our on-road staff have been provided with disposable rubber gloves and hand sanitiser to be utilised when conducting road-side activities to reduce any contact or spread of the virus.

Like all businesses we are continuing a process of on-going assessment of our capabilities and how we can deliver those services.

However we will ensure we balance the needs of supporting a safe heavy vehicle industry with the need to conduct your operations and businesses during a time of great uncertainty.
