The National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) is making compliance data easier to access thanks to a new tool.
Intercept Outcomes Tool (IOT) is a reporting tool within NHVR Go which provides accredited operators visibility of NHVR intercepts and outcomes for vehicles in their fleet which are linked to their NHVR Go account (previously NHVR Portal).
This tool is part of the NHVR’s Operator Regulatory Performance Program (ORRP), and the intercept information can be found through NHVR Go’s Compliance Module.
Through this module, operators will have a comprehensive view of their fleet’s compliance performance, helping them identify trends and patterns of non-compliance across their operations.
In addition, it will provide operators with timely notification of enforcement actions that may otherwise not be known or delayed to the operator.
Providing operators with intercept information not only supports safer, more productive business practices, but it also helps reinforce their primary duty obligations under the Heavy Vehicle National Law.
We know working in the heavy vehicle industry can be challenging and demanding and that is why it is critical operators receive timely, relevant information.
Access to IOT is initially available to National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme (NHVAS) accredited operators as part of a staged rollout. There will be broader industry access later in 2026.
